Laboratory Equipment Cleaner

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Laboratory Equipment Cleaner to ensure our laboratory remains clean and safe. This role involves routine cleaning of laboratory equipment and surfaces, as well as maintaining safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Regularly sanitize and disinfect laboratory surfaces and equipment.
• Properly dispose of and document hazardous waste.
• Assist with the logistical organization of laboratory spaces.
• Provide technical support to laboratory staff regarding maintenance tasks.
• Participate in safety meetings and training as required.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of relevant cleaning experience, preferably in a laboratory setting

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices
• Experience with sanitization protocols

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Flexibility

Certifications

• Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience with sterilization techniques: Experience in using sterilization equipment.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment operation: Knowledge of how to effectively operate lab equipment.
