Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician, you will be crucial in crafting and grinding lenses that meet precise specifications for optical devices. Your attention to detail and knowledge of lens manufacturing processes will be essential in producing high-quality products for our customers. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborate closely with optical engineers and other technicians to ensure optimal results.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain precision grinding equipment.
• Work directly with lens prescriptions to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Adjust machinery settings based on specific lens requirements.
• Polish lenses post-grinding to enhance clarity and quality.
• Perform routine quality assurance tests on completed lenses.
• Liaise with engineers for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Document lens specifications meticulously during production.
• Ensure adherence to safety and cleanliness standards in the lab.
• Participate in regular update meetings to improve processes.
• Help implement new techniques to streamline lens production.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Optical Dispensing is a plus

Experience

• Experience with advanced lens manufacturing equipment is preferred.

Technical Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent
