Artillery and Missile Crew Member

Job Description

As part of the Artillery and Missile Crew, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of artillery systems. This role is instrumental in training exercises and actual deployments, and you will work closely with your team in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine checks and maintenance on artillery systems.
• Load and fire artillery shells following established procedures.
• Assist in conducting training drills with live ammunition.
• Participate in preparation for deployment and field exercises.
• Keep clear communication with the team during operations.
• Document and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure effective teamwork by actively engaging with colleagues.
• Maintain physical fitness and readiness for operational duties.
• Foster a culture of safety and adherence to military standards.
• Engage in personal and team development opportunities.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of Year 10 education or military training

Experience

• Preferably some background in military operations or heavy machinery.

Technical Skills

• Good manual dexterity and physical fitness
• Basic computer literacy

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Attention to detail

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in combat or combat-support roles: Background in situations requiring teamwork and focus under stress.
• Completion of advanced military training: Further qualification in military operations or equipment handling.
