Job Description
We are hiring a Cane Splicer responsible for repairing and splicing damaged cane in our sugar cane farm. The successful applicant will operate and maintain machinery involved in these processes effectively.
Responsibilities
Perform inspections to locate damaged cane sections.
Execute repairs and splicing using proper machinery.
Log all aspects of work for reporting purposes.
Adhere to safety regulations in all aspects of work.
Assist in training juniors on machinery operations.
Collaborate with the team for effective harvest management.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical training in agricultural machinery is preferred
Experience
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role on a sugar cane farm
Technical Skills
Ability to read technical manuals
Welding and fabrication skills

Languages
English: Fluent
Advantageous
Experience in GPS systems and precision agriculture technologies: Knowledge of how to use modern farming technologies.
