Job Description

As a Mixing and Blending Machine Setter, Operator, or Tender, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining mixing machines to produce high-quality rubber compounds. Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and have a background in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Master the operation of Banbury mixing equipment for effective production.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Adjust mixing times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality.
• Implement safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among the team.
• Record metrics related to production efficiency and product quality.
• Support cross-training initiatives within the production team.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.

Requirements

Education

• Trade qualification in manufacturing or related field

Experience

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of rubber compounding processes
• Computerized control systems

Soft Skills

• Effective communication
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Computer skills: Experience with production management software and data entry.
• Quality control experience: Prior experience in a quality control role within manufacturing.
