Clarifier Operator

Job Description

As a Clarifier Operator, you will play a crucial role in the wastewater treatment process, operating and maintaining clarifiers to effectively separate solids and liquids. Your expertise will ensure compliance with environmental regulations and contribute to our commitment to sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of the clarifying equipment and troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks and assist in repairs when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with local and national water quality regulations.
• Train junior operators on best practices and safety protocols.
• Participate in environmental audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with other operators and engineers to improve treatment processes.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in water treatment or relevant field is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a Clarifier Operator or in a similar role.

Technical Skills

• SCADA system experience
• PLC programming knowledge

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving ability

Certifications

• Work Health and Safety (WHS) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Strong understanding of chemical treatment processes: Experience in adjusting chemical dosages for optimal treatment efficiency.
• Maintenance management skills: Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
