Job Description

As an Ophthalmic Medical Technician at Advanced Eye Care Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in assisting ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures. Your expertise in performing diagnostic tests and patient management will be vital in ensuring exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and ensuring they feel comfortable.
  • Assisting ophthalmologists in conducting eye tests and screenings.
  • Taking patient histories and recording relevant data.
  • Preparing examination rooms and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Providing clear instructions to patients regarding tests and treatments.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Providing follow-up support to patients post-examination.
  • Assisting with minor surgical procedures as required.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Collaborating with administrative staff to streamline patient flow.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant certifications in Ophthalmic Technology or similar
Experience
  • Experience with surgical procedures such as cataract surgery.
Technical Skills
  • Electronic health record (EHR) software
  • Ophthalmic diagnostic equipment
Soft Skills
  • Ability to work independently
Languages
  • English: Fluent
