Job Description

As a Lens Hardener, you will play a vital role in shaping and polishing lenses to meet exact specifications for a range of optical devices. You will operate advanced optical machinery and ensure high-quality standards are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Shape and polish lenses using optical machinery to correct specifications.
• Inspect lenses post-processing for any defects or imperfections.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues with machinery and processes.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and challenges.
• Follow and implement established quality assurance processes.
• Document any technical issues encountered during production.
• Support the development of new techniques for lens hardening.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing (preferred)

Experience

• Experience with different lens materials and types of optical instruments.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of optical materials
• Experience in quality control processes

Soft Skills

• Communication

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification in Quality Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of CAD software: Experience with computer-aided design software for lens specifications.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations: Understanding of workplace safety principles in manufacturing.
