Sewing Machine Operators

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machine Operator to ensure the proper hemming of towels and various linens. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us maintain our high production standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot industrial sewing machines.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet standards.
• Regularly clean and maintain equipment for optimal performance.
• Coordinate with the production team to optimise workflow.
• Train new operators on machine operation and safety procedures.
• Help identify and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production targets and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Australian Certificate III in Textile Product Production preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or garment production environment

Technical Skills

• Machine Maintenance

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Fabric Types: Familiarity with various fabric types and their properties.
