Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking Helpers--Roofers to join our skilled team. In this role, you will assist with various slate roofing tasks, from carrying materials to supporting skilled roofers in installations and repairs. Responsibilities

• Assist experienced roofers with slate roof installations.
• Help prepare and clean the job site before and after work.
• Lift and carry heavy roofing materials safely.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
• Follow directives from team leaders and senior staff.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Report any safety hazards immediately to the supervisor.
• Assist with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding as needed.
• Provide excellent support to the roofing team.
• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Education

• Valid driver's license preferred

Experience

• Experience in manual labour or the construction industry is a bonus.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety regulations

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the roofing industry: Having worked in roofing or a related field.
• Certification in occupational health and safety: Demonstrates knowledge of safe work practices.
