Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough diagnosis and repair of marine systems including engines and electrical components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service repairs and recommendations.
  • Utilise diagnostic software to troubleshoot issues in marine engines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the maintenance of workshop equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
  • Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification
  • Additional training in marine repair or service preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues in marine engines.
  • Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems Knowledgeable in marine electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnostic software proficiency Experience using diagnostic tools such as TechMate Pro.
  • Attention to detail Ability to complete tasks with precision and thoroughness.
  • Problem-solving skills Expertise in fault-finding and troubleshooting.
  • Customer service orientation Strong focus on delivering high-quality service to clients.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • White Card (Construction Induction) certification
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Certificate in Marine Engineering: Formal education in marine systems and engineering principles.
  • Experience in boat building: Hands-on experience with the construction and repair of boats.
