Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse to join our dedicated mental health team. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality mental health care to patients who are experiencing a range of mental health conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring the best outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and participate in treatment planning discussions.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops to encourage peer support.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services when necessary to ensure patient safety.
  • Engage with community resources to support patients' ongoing mental health needs.
  • Ensure that all patient interactions uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and safety.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the mental health services department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent degree
  • Postgraduate qualification in mental health nursing preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in mental health nursing
