Job Description

As a Blood Bank Custodian, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the blood bank facility is maintained in a clean and organized manner. Your responsibilities will involve assisting in daily operations and supporting the team in the collection and processing of blood products.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain blood bank storage units and equipment.
  • Organize and label blood products according to established protocols.
  • Assist with blood donation procedures and processing.
  • Monitor blood inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Follow strict procedures for handling and transporting blood products.
  • Assist in quality assurance processes.
  • Provide support to the Blood Bank Manager as required.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery.
  • Adhere to all operational and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in blood bank technology is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
