Shoe Machine Operators and Tenders

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Lacer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate and maintain lacing machines, ensuring that materials are efficiently assembled and secured for production. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, enabling them to deliver high-quality workmanship in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wire lacing machines to weave and secure wires in electrical components.
• Ensure proper alignment and tension of wires.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues.
• Document production activities and maintain inventory for materials.
• Follow safety protocols during operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Assist in the training of new staff members.
• Conduct quality checks and report defects to supervisors.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in manufacturing processes is advantageous

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills

• Understanding of workplace safety procedures
• Ability to follow instructions

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of quality control processes: Understanding of QC protocols and standards is preferred.
• Experience with different types of lacing machines: Familiarity with various lacing machine types is an advantage.
