Job Description

The Bagging Salvager is responsible for salvaging items and materials from waste or discarded products and preparing them for resale or recycling. This role involves working hands-on in a team environment to ensure optimal efficiency in salvage operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to bag and separate recyclables from general waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during operations.
• Help with general housekeeping and equipment maintenance on the worksite.
• Document waste volumes and report findings to the Operations Manager.
• Engage in teamwork to enhance productivity and support fellow workers.
• Report any machinery malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills necessary

Experience

• No specific experience required, but experience in a similar role may be advantageous

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail

Languages
