Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Canberra-based team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT support principles, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting hardware/software issues, providing technical assistance, and maintaining IT systems to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to user inquiries and incidents via email, phone or ticket system.
  • Resolve user problems promptly to avoid disruption of company operations.
  • Documentation of issues and resolutions in the help desk management system.
  • Assist in developing IT support documentation and training materials.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT team members and departments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies in maintaining IT equipment.
  • Support system backups and disaster recovery initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Information Technology or related field
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a related field
