Animal Control Worker

Job Description

As an Animal Control Worker, you will manage and enforce animal laws and regulations within our community. This role requires a keen understanding of animal behavior, knowledge of relevant legislation, and strong communication skills to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of animal abuse, neglect, or cruelty.
• Capture and transport stray animals to designated facilities.
• Coordinate with veterinary services for animal care and treatment.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards in all activities.
• Develop and implement educational programs about animal welfare.
• Support community initiatives focused on responsible pet ownership.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of local areas.
• Assist in drafting reports for public awareness and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Further education in animal sciences or law enforcement is advantageous

Experience

• Additional experience in emergency response or veterinary assistance is a plus
