Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Vessel Master to take charge of our vessels, ensuring their efficient and safe operations. The successful candidate will possess exceptional navigational skills and the ability to lead diverse teams at sea. Your expertise will ensure compliance with marine regulations and the successful management of operations on board.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vessel operations, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Oversee crew performance, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Conduct pre-voyage safety checks and ensure readiness of equipment.
  • Collaborate with onshore teams to facilitate effective operations.
  • Manage vessel budgets and operational costs.
  • Review and analyse voyage performance data for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on maritime laws and regulations, implementing necessary changes.
  • Conduct drills and training for emergency preparedness.
  • Supervise loading and unloading of cargo safely.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders regarding vessel status.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate of Competency as a Master (STCW Certification)
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Vessel Master or in a similar role.
