Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commonwealth Attorney to represent the government of Australia in legal matters. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice, draft documents, and participate in negotiations while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on legal policy and assist in legislative drafting.
  • Conduct training sessions on legal compliance for government staff.
  • Represent the Commonwealth in high-stakes litigation.
  • Monitor and assess changes in legislation and regulations affecting government operations.
  • Foster relationships with external legal advisors and consultants.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Laws or equivalent
  • Admission to practice as a lawyer in Australia
Experience
  • Minimum 7-10 years of legal experience, including at least 5 years in a senior legal role.
