Job Description

As a Cloth Dyer, you will bring fabrics to life using various dyeing techniques and materials that meet specific business needs. Collaborating with designers and manufacturers, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the final product reflects quality and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and treat fabrics for dyeing to ensure optimal results.
• Mix dyes accurately to meet colour specifications provided by designers.
• Utilise several dyeing methods to enhance fabric characteristics.
• Monitor dyeing processes for quality assurance.
• Document all dyeing operations and keep records up to date.
• Work collaboratively with designers and production teams.
• Maintain safety standards and protocols in the material handling area.
• Provide guidance and support to new staff in dyeing processes.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate or diploma in a textile-related field

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on dyeing experience, preferably in a commercial setting.

Technical Skills

• Industrial dyeing equipment operation
• Chemical safety knowledge

Soft Skills

• Attention to safety

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Quality Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with dye sublimation: Understanding the dye sublimation process for synthetic fabrics.
