Job Description

As a Public Health Officer, you'll take the lead in promoting health initiatives and policies to improve community health outcomes. You will work closely with local stakeholders to analyse health data, develop community health strategies, and implement health promotion campaigns. This role also focuses on monitoring the effectiveness of public health programs in various settings.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate health promotion campaigns targeting chronic disease.
  • Serve as the liaison between public health and community organisations.
  • Conduct epidemiological studies to assess health risks.
  • Implement strategies to reduce health disparities within communities.
  • Develop partnerships with educational institutions to promote health education.
  • Assist in the development of health policies and initiatives at the state level.
  • Ensure transparent communication with community members regarding health initiatives.
  • Participate in funding and grant writing for health projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health, with a focus on program evaluation
