Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate Linotype machines according to job specifications.
• Operate Linotype machines to cast and assemble type for printing.
• Maintain and clean Linotype machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Inspect printed materials for accuracy and quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with Linotype machines.
• Collaborate with graphic designers and the printing team to ensure proper type selection.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Linotype technology.
• Train and mentor junior Linotype operators, if required.
• Assist in the development of printing techniques and improvements.

Advantageous

• Certification in Linotype operation: Any additional training or certification would be beneficial.
