As a Transit and Railroad Police officer, you will oversee the security operations in public transportation systems. Your duties will include ensuring passenger safety, monitoring activities within transit stations, and responding promptly to any incidents. Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and protocols within transit networks.
• Serve as a visible security presence to deter criminal activity.
• Engage with the public to build trust and encourage reporting of suspicious behaviour.
• Collaborate with transport management to enhance security measures.
• Investigate and follow-up on incidents reported by passengers or staff.
• Deliver training and safety briefings related to security to transit employees.
• Participate in community outreach programs to improve safety awareness.
• Utilize surveillance technology effectively to monitor transport facilities.
• Conduct routine checks of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Document and maintain evidence of incidents as per legal requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Security Operations
• Diploma in Public Safety is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in law enforcement or security roles
