Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Machine Feeders and Offbearers to operate and maintain industrial sewing machines. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring materials are efficiently sewn together according to specified patterns and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the setup of sewing machines to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect finished products for adherence to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine problems promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for production processes.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production status.
• Follow detailed sewing patterns and instructions carefully.
• Collect feedback on production processes to suggest improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Textile Production
• Completion of a Machine Tailer Apprenticeship

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial sewing and machine tailing

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with computerized sewing machines: Familiarity with operating and maintaining computerized sewing machines.
