Job Description

As a Lap Runner, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of track and field events. You will be responsible for setting up facilities, maintaining equipment, and providing needed support to athletes before and during competitions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and preparation of the track for events.
  • Monitor track conditions and report any hazards or damage.
  • Ensure the safety of athletes and spectators during events.
  • Provide first aid and emergency support as required.
  • Control and operate timing equipment and systems.
  • Communicate relevant information to athletes and coaches.
  • Provide post-event support, including cleaning and maintaining facilities.

Requirements

Education
  • First Aid/CPR certification
Experience
  • Experience in sports management or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Timing systems
  • Basic power tools
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Prior experience in a related field.: Experience working in athletic events or sports management.
  • Knowledge of track and field rules and regulations.: Understanding of competition guidelines and athlete needs.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.: Physical ability to assist with equipment transportation and setup.
