Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for tapping copper in our state-of-the-art facilities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to collaborate effectively with your team.

Responsibilities

• Tap and refine copper materials to specified dimensions.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to minimise risk.
• Engage in team meetings to discuss production targets.
• Maintain logs for equipment performance and incidents.
• Continuously monitor the production process for improvements.
• Support the training of apprentices or new employees.
• Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of furnace equipment.
• Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for quality control.
• Participate in all mandatory safety training sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in Metalworking or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in a relevant manufacturing role is an asset
