Teaching Assistant - Education Aide

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with disabilities in a school setting. This role involves implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and providing academic assistance to enhance students' learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons.
• Work with therapists to implement therapeutic activities.
• Document student progress and prepare reports for educators.
• Help organize and participate in school events.
• Engage with parents to discuss student development and progression.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is preferable
• Further qualifications in special education are a plus

Experience

• Previous experience in a classroom setting is an asset.
