Join our team as a Veterans Rehabilitation Counselor, where you'll provide vital support to veterans transitioning back to civilian life. Your role will involve assessing needs, developing personalized rehabilitation plans, and facilitating access to essential services.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments to identify veterans' rehabilitation needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Monitor clients' progress and modify rehabilitation plans accordingly.
• Document all interactions and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Engage in community outreach to provide education on available veteran resources.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on shared experiences.
• Establish rapport with clients to ensure open communication and trust.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary to support veterans in distress.
• Create and update resource directories for effective referrals.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in trauma-informed care.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• Relevant certifications or licenses in counselling

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in counseling or rehabilitation services, preferably with a focus on veterans or military personnel.
