Job Description

As a Farm Machinery Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting diesel engines used in agricultural equipment. We seek a skilled individual who can handle repairs efficiently while ensuring that the machinery operates at peak performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair engine and transmission problems on a variety of farm machinery, including tractors and harvesters.
  • Oversee the ordering and installation of replacement parts as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with service managers to ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Train farm personnel on equipment handling and maintenance procedures.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and repair techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology or equivalent
  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
