Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and customer-oriented individual to join our library team as a Circulation Clerk. In this key role, you will support the daily circulation operations, assist library users with checking in and out materials, manage reserves and holds, and provide exceptional customer service. Your meticulous attention to detail will help maintain accurate records of library transactions, and your passion for literature and community service will shine in every interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Help patrons find resources and provide training on using library services.
  • Ensure a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Assist with digital resource navigation including databases and e-books.
  • Support community outreach initiatives to promote library services.
  • Perform data entry and record-keeping tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Additional qualification in library science or information management is a plus
Experience
  • Prior experience in a library or customer service-oriented role is preferred.
