Job Description

As a Printing Press Operator, also known as a Photo Offset Printer, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our printing equipment runs smoothly and effectively. Your role will involve setting up and operating photo offset printing presses, inspecting materials, and making necessary adjustments to produce high-quality prints that meet stringent client specifications. To succeed, you'll need a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate presses, ensuring all specifications are followed.
  • Monitor and adjust processes to achieve the best possible print quality.
  • Maintain records of production runs for accuracy and review.
  • Work closely with production teams to optimise printing schedules.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and suggest changes.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss upcoming projects and timelines.
  • Conduct final inspections before products are sent to clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of relevant trade certificate or apprenticeship in print or graphic arts
  • Experience in large scale commercial projects preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years in offset printing operations

  • Printing Software (Heidelberg Prinect)

Languages
