Job Description

The Wharf Attendant plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations at the wharf. You will be tasked with loading and unloading cargo, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the loading and unloading operations of cargo vessels.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national safety standards.
  • Maintain inventory records and assist with stock management.
  • Report discrepancies in cargo and resolve issues promptly.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks and report any repairs needed.
  • Participate in training and safety drills to stay compliant.
  • Collaborate with transport and logistics teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of safety and efficiency in all operations.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by the Wharf Manager.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • No previous experience required; however, relevant experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or maritime industries is advantageous.
