Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Boilermaker to join our expert team in Sydney. The successful candidate will contribute to building, repairing, and maintaining locomotives, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the maintenance team for efficient locomotive repairs.
• Monitor quality and progress of repairs to ensure timely delivery.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and propose solutions.
• Foster a safe work environment and promote safety protocols.
• Lead small teams when executing larger projects.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
• Trade Qualification is desirable, however not mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in the rail or heavy industry.

Technical Skills

• Blueprint Interpretation
• Heavy Machinery Operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Trade Certificate in Boilermaking
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with lean manufacturing: Knowledge of Lean principles to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
• Leadership skills: Experience in leading small teams on projects, ensuring quality and speed.
