Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Crushing, Grinding, and Polishing Machine Setter, Operator, to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and polishing precious stones, ensuring high-quality output and precision in every piece.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for operation and conduct regular maintenance checks.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance.
• Record daily production data and report any discrepancies to management.
• Work with supervisors to improve worker productivity and material quality.
• Train and mentor junior staff in machine operation and safety protocols.
• Stay updated on best practices and technological advancements in the jewellery industry.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacture or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Crystal Lapping
• Machine Operation
• Quality Control

• Problem-Solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in gemstone identification and grading: Proven knowledge of various types of precious stones.
• Knowledge of jewellery-making techniques: Familiarity with metalworking, enamelling, and stone setting techniques is a plus.
