Responsibilities

• Design and execute unique wooden pieces tailored to client requests.
• Engage in creative brainstorming sessions with team members.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in exhibitions to showcase crafted works.
• Document processes for future reference.
• Provide mentorship to apprentices or less experienced team members.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal training in woodworking or sculpture is preferred

Experience

• 2-3 years of direct carving experience

Technical Skills

• Proven experience with various materials
• Power tools proficiency

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• Certificate III in Furniture Making

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of woodtypes and their properties: Understanding various types of wood and their carving properties.
• Mentorship experience: Experience in guiding or training apprentices.
