Health and Safety Engineer

Job Description

As a Health and Safety Engineer, you will develop and implement safety policies and procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in conducting safety audits, training employees, and fostering a culture of safety across our organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of safety policies in practice.
• Advise management on safety-related issues and improvements.
• Research and report on emerging safety trends and technologies.
• Actively engage employees in creating a safer workplace environment.
• Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
• Compile and submit safety reports to regulatory bodies as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• Proven experience of 3+ years in safety auditing and risk assessment in an industrial setting.

Technical Skills

• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
• Familiar with Incident Reporting Systems

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask

Advantageous

• Experience in conducting safety training programs: Ability to create and deliver engaging safety training for employees.
• Knowledge in Continuous Improvement methodologies: Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to enhance safety processes.
