Job Description

As an Equine Veterinarian, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of equine medical conditions. You will engage with horse owners and trainers to deliver quality care, utilizing your expertise to develop treatment plans and ensure the overall health of the horses under your care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the health needs of equines through assessments and diagnostics.
  • Implement advanced treatment protocols for various medical conditions.
  • Manage case discussions with clients and offer tailored solutions.
  • Conduct research to improve existing veterinary practices.
  • Develop operational processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor patient recovery post-surgery or treatment.
  • Engage in emergency on-call rotations as needed.
  • Collaborate in developing health programs for horses.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
  • Further specialization in equine surgery or reproduction is an asset
Experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in equine veterinary practice, with surgical experience preferred.
