Compressed Gases Tester

Job Description

As a Compressed Gases Tester, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe handling, storage, and distribution of compressed gases in accordance with industry regulations. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough inspections, quality tests, and maintenance activities related to gas cylinders and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and testing of compressed gas systems and equipment.
• Track and document all inspections, tests, and maintenance activities.
• Report any safety concerns promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Work with external regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
• Participate in safety audits and assist in formulating best practices.
• Assist in the training of new team members on compliance procedures.
• Support the development of training materials for safety procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation related to gas handling and safety.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Compressed Gas Testing or relevant field (desired)

Experience

• Experience in a quality assurance or compliance role in the gas industry is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in using computer software
• Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures

Certifications

• Certification in Compressed Gas Testing or relevant field (desired)

Languages

• English: Fluent
