Job Description

As a Psychiatric Technician, you will be crucial in supporting individuals with mental health issues. Your role includes developing treatment plans, facilitating group therapy, and providing compassionate care to enhance clients' well-being and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Administer mental health assessments and create service plans.
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and therapeutic groups.
  • Evaluate client responses to treatment and make necessary modifications.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
  • Implement safety plans during crises.
  • Maintain detailed and organized client records.
  • Stay current on mental health policies and compliance regulations.
  • Participate in peer consultations and supervision sessions.
  • Contribute to program evaluations and improvement plans.
  • Carry out administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is preferred
  • Registration with AHPRA is essential

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in mental health settings
