Job Description

As a Flatwork Ironer at our Melbourne facility, you will operate commercial ironing machines to process various flat textiles such as sheets, towels, and tablecloths. Your role is critical to our garment finishing process, ensuring all items meet our high-quality standards. Attention to detail and efficiency in a fast-paced environment are key in this role, where teamwork and effective communication play a vital part in meeting production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial ironing machinery to ensure high-quality textile processing.
• Sort and prepare textiles before loading into the machines.
• Inspect finished products for quality and rectify any issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the ironing area and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow.
• Document machine performance and report any irregularities.
• Engage in continuous training for skill enhancement.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor machine issues.
• Participate in regular team meetings for efficiency improvements.
• Contribute to the development of best practices in textile finishing.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required. On-the-job training will be provided.

Experience

• Previous experience in textile processing or a similar role is beneficial.
