Rotary Drill Operator

Job Description

As a Rotary Drill Operator, you will be responsible for drilling wells for water, oil, or gas extraction. This role involves operating drilling equipment while adhering to safety protocols and collaborating with team members to achieve drilling objectives. You will work outdoors in varying weather conditions, ensuring efficient drilling operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of drilling equipment.
• Log drilling parameters and execute drilling plans.
• Coordinate with geologists and engineers to optimize drilling practices.
• Document daily drilling activities and maintain compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions during operations.
• Train junior drill operators on safety procedures and equipment handling.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Drilling Operations or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Heavy Rigid Vehicle License

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in drilling operations

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of drilling techniques and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Teamwork and communication
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
