Responsibilities

• Cultivate oysters in line with sustainable practices.
• Monitor aquaculture environments and optimise conditions.
• Harvest and process oysters for distribution to markets.
• Manage equipment used in oyster farming.
• Conduct periodic health checks on aquatic life.
• Assist in research and development of new farming techniques.
• Engage with environmental agencies for compliance.
• Maintain efficient communication with all team members.
• Attend workshops on best aquaculture practices.
• Document farming processes and outcomes effectively.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualifications required. Experience preferred.
• A certificate or diploma in aquaculture is an advantage.

Experience

• Previous experience in aquaculture is preferred but not mandatory. On-the-job training provided.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of oyster farming techniques

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in shellfish cultivation: Knowledge from prior work with shellfish farming.
