Job Description

As an Election Judge, you will play a vital role in the electoral process by ensuring that elections are conducted fairly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include overseeing polling stations, verifying voter eligibility, and providing assistance to voters during the election process.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and dismantle polling stations before and after elections.
  • Assist voters with questions or difficulties they encounter.
  • Ensure a secure environment for voters and election workers.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure polling stations meet legal standards.
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements for future elections.
  • Coordinate with other officers to ensure a smooth election day.
  • Take part in debriefing sessions after elections to discuss experiences.
  • Help with the transport of election materials before and after polling.
  • Document any irregularities during the election process.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill enhancement programs.

Requirements

Education
  • Australian citizen or permanent resident
Experience
  • Experience in customer service or administrative roles is advantageous.
