Shotblast Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shotblast Operator who will be responsible for operating shotblast equipment utilized for cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting and coating. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a noisy and dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure shotblast equipment is set up and operational before shifts.
• Conduct pre- and post-inspection of surfaces to ensure quality.
• Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations within the facility.
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new employees.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform minor repairs if necessary.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Support team efforts to achieve production targets.

Requirements

Education

• Technical certification in manufacturing or construction

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Safety regulations knowledge
• Mechanical skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Time management

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in quality control processes: Knowledge of inspection techniques to ensure surface quality before coating.
• Certification in Forklift operation: Valid certification to operate forklifts within a manufacturing environment.
