Job Description

We are seeking skilled Forging Machine Setters, Operators, and Tenders with a keen eye for detail and a passion for manufacturing. In this role, you will operate and maintain forging machines, contributing to the production of high-quality metal and plastic products. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of forging processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up forging machines for specific production runs, ensuring correct tooling.
• Review production orders and specifications to determine required setup.
• Regularly inspect machinery and tools for wear and tear.
• Conduct tests on sample products to ensure proper machinery operation.
• Provide feedback to management regarding production efficiency and safety practices.
• Engage in cross-training to enhance versatility in the workplace.
• Stay updated on the latest industry practices and safety regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in forging or related manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Advanced Machinery Operation
• Tool Setup and Adjustment

Certifications

• Advanced Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles: Familiarity with lean concepts to optimise manufacturing processes.
