Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Oyster Opener to join our dynamic team at XYZ Seafood Company. As an Oyster Opener, your primary responsibility will be to expertly open, shuck, and prepare oysters for consumption. This role demands precision, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will help ensure our oysters are served with the highest quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently open oysters while maintaining the integrity of the meat.
  • Conduct quality checks for freshness and presentation.
  • Regularly clean and sanitise all shucking equipment.
  • Work with chefs to present oysters in an appealing manner.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Help manage the oyster inventory and supply chain.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff in oyster preparation.
  • Respond to customer requests and provide excellent service.
  • Participate in team meetings to improve processes.

Requirements

Education
  • No formal qualifications required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Oyster Opener or similar role.
