Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dependable Light Truck Driver who possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Your primary responsibility will be to safely transport vehicles across various locations in Melbourne. You should be attentive to detail, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations and conducting thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips. Experience in vehicle escorting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the secure transportation of vehicles from point A to B.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify and report any vehicle issues.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, adjusting as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with the logistics team.
• Document transportation activities and vehicle conditions accurately.
• Assist in vehicle loading/unloading protocols when required.
• Uphold safety standards while operating vehicles.
• Respond promptly to any transportation-related emergencies.
• Provide excellent customer service during vehicle handovers.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of high school education or equivalent

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in transportation or vehicle escort role

Technical Skills

• Defensive Driving
• Vehicle Inspection

Certifications

• Clean Driving Record
• CPR Certification (advantageous)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
