Job Description

The Bookie will be responsible for taking bets, managing odds, and paying out winnings for a range of sporting events and races. This role requires excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in every transaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the betting platform ensuring accuracy.
• Analyze betting patterns to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Work with the marketing team to develop promotions.
• Resolve customer issues in a professional manner.
• Ensure overall compliance with legal requirements.
• Train and manage a team of traders and analysts.

Requirements

Education

• Tertiary education in relevant fields

Experience

• Experience managing risk and adjusting odds

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of online betting platforms

Soft Skills

• Critical thinking

Certifications

• Police Check (if required)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working with a diverse range of customers: Proven ability to engage with clients from various backgrounds.
• Ability to speak multiple languages: Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.
