Caustic Room Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Caustic Room Operator to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our caustic processing equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of safety protocols and maintenance procedures to uphold our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies and procedures concerning safety and environmental practices.
• Engage in problem-solving to identify and mitigate potential risks in the caustic room.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant trade or vocational qualification is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of SCADA systems

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• First Aid Certificate (desirable)

Advantageous

• Experience with hazardous materials: Demonstrated ability to handle and work safely with hazardous substances.
• Experience in chemical handling and storage: Knowledge of industry standards for chemical safety and management.
