Childcare Educator

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Childcare Educator to join our team in Maroondah. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the learning and development of our young children in a nurturing environment. You will collaborate with other educators and families to create stimulating experiences that promote children's growth and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement educational programs and activities that are engaging and suitable for children's age and development level.
• Care for children's physical and emotional needs in a safe environment.
• Assess and monitor children's development and progress.
• Create and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Promote positive behaviour and social skills among children.
• Implement health and safety practices to ensure a safe environment for children.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Degree in Childhood Education is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• Curriculum Development
• First Aid Certification

Soft Skills

• Creativity
• Patience

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with special needs education: Prior experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
• Training in child psychology: Understanding of child psychology to better support children's emotional needs.
